About Michael

I was born in North Vancouver next to the peaks of the Pacific Coast Range. I had the opportunity to take my first photographs in the Fraser Valley when I was only 7. My interest in nature started when I was young and I extended my knowledge by obtaining a BSc. in Biological Sciences from Simon Fraser University.

Since my time in University I have travelled throughout the southwest of British Columbia and Pacific Northwest of Washington State. The coast of British Columbia is a wonderful place for a photographer to live. Within a few hours I can travel from ocean views, rainforests, alpine meadows, and desert environments.

My main photographic interests are landscapes and nature though I find myself shooting all sorts of subjects when they are available. I began my photographic journey using film but I now shoot exclusively with digital cameras. My photographs has been licensed for use in print publications and purchased for private collections. New photography and related discussions are posted on my Photoblog, Google+, Twitter, and Facebook.
